Participants cover a 3.8-kilometer (2.4-mile) distance in the river, enveloped by verdant rainforest greenery and the impressive expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

Next, the bike segment takes competitors on a two-loop journey through Port Macquarie’s varied terrain. This part of the course, beginning at the end of the Hastings River swim, traverses rolling hills, coastal plains, and diverse landscapes. Riders face a mix of challenges: uphill climbs, rapid descents, and flat stretches. The route offers a visual feast of lush rainforests, pastoral farmlands, and captivating coastal vistas.

Finally, the run segment, consisting of four loops, guides athletes through the heart of Port Macquarie.
